Metro Pavers, Inc. is Hiring a Plant Maintenance Technician Near Cedar Rapids, IA
Metro Ready Mix, LC. is part of Metro Pavers, Inc. a local, family owned and operated paving company that has been in business since 1966. We are looking for a self-motivated, dependable, honest, and experienced Plant Maintenance Technician with great attention to detail, who demonstrates problem solving with accurate solutions.
This position is responsible for maintaining our Ready Mix Batch Plants, the Iowa City location, all Metro plant equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumonic equipment. Essential functions include daily weekly and monthly preventive maintenance as well as repair. A complete job description will be provided at the interview.

This position will require having and maintaining a valid driver’s license with no nighttime restrictions and insurability by our carrier. Post offer a physical, drug screen and background check must all be passed. Candidates do not have to have experience maintaining batch plant equipment, but experience in maintenance is required.
This position requires lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, climbing, working from heights over 4 feet, being exposed to outdoor elements regularly, This position will require obtaining the following, if not already had; OSHA 10, Confined Space Training, CPR/First Aid, as well as some equipment training.
